Home Help for Hayfever

                                 Home Help for Hay fever

I am not a trained practitioner of any kind, but I am a fed up Hay Fever sufferer sharing some tips on taking a natural approach to dealing with it.
If you suffer from Hay Fever then you probably feel as miserable as I do at the moment. All this beautiful weather and we can't enjoy it! I have suffered from hay fever for a number of years and I always thought it was pretty bad, as bad as it could possibly get. Boy was I wrong. I recently moved house and I now I have it worse than ever.
Let me know it these ring a bell. Inside of mouth itching like crazy. Nose trying to compete with Niagara Falls and again itching like crazy. Sneezing fits that make the skin on your back prickle and feels like it is exploding little bits of your lungs each bout. Vision constantly blurred because of watering eyes, and if you wipe too much they start itching, puff up and go a lovely shade of red all over. Very attractive. Is this you? If it is join the club, and can I just borrow your hanky for a sec' – vigorous blowing which only results in sore nose and start of headache – thanks for that. It's not only the symptoms that are bad, it's how they effect your every day life. You feel dreadful and hideous, everything you eat tastes of mucous, you can't sleep, you get lots of headaches, a fever, cold shivers and you can't even think clearly.
In spite of all this we often feel we have to keep on going, but pamper yourself a bit, it is OK to admit that you feel poorly. I always feel pathetic when people say what's wrong and I tell them I have hay fever. It seems really feeble, but it isn't. About 12 Million people suffer from it in the UK, that's around 1 in 5. So take it easy and remember to have a loo roll or plenty of tissue on hand.
In previous years I have gone the route of conventional medicine, eye drops, nasal spray, and antihistamine tablets. This year I decided to try a more gentle approach and try a few complimentary remedies. I thought my body probably needed a rest from prescription drugs.
I am trying a number of approaches which really do bring relief.
Dry Inhalation
I always carry a hanky round with me to which I have applied 5 or 6 drops of lavender oil. This is for what is called dry inhalation. It does clear the nasal passages somewhat and lavender, as you probably already know, has a wonderfully calming effect. Whatever you do, don't blow your nose on that hanky! I have also bought an Olbas inhaler stick, that gives temporary relief and it smells nice. A good alternative to Lavender is Eucalyptus oil.
Massage
I have been massaging the sides of my nose, my forehead and the nape of my neck (back of the neck, where the hair starts) with lavender oil in a carrier oil. This is very relaxing especially if you can encourage or bribe a family member to do it for you. The massaging of the side of the nose helps to clear the sinuses a bit.
Aromatherapy Oil Burner
It also helps to have an oil burner going with a few drops of lavender or eucalyptus oil. Both are very good but I find lavender oil better at bedtime because it's calming effect also helps me go to sleep. Do take the usual precautions and don't go to sleep with it still alight.
Ginger Beer
Another good nostril clearer is ginger beer. It tastes good and it clears the sinuses. You just drink it and the strength of the ginger works its magic. This is only a temporary measure (as are all these remedies) but even temporary relief is better than none. I go for full sugar ginger beer as artificial sweeteners are worse for you than sugar. And try to avoid those with sulphur preservative in it because that can upset your stomach.
Hot Ginger Tea
If you don't like ginger beer you can make your own hot ginger tea. You will need one dessert spoon of honey, the juice of one lemon and a teaspoon of freshly grated ginger root. Mix the honey and lemon juice in hot water then place the grated ginger into an infuser ball and leave in the hot mixture for at least five minutes, stir frequently. Allow to cool a little then drink. This is also a good one when you have a cold or the flu as ginger warms you up from the inside.
Eye Ice Packs
If your eyes are being particularly troublesome, a home made eye ice pack is really soothing. Place a couple of ice cubes in opposite corners of a small plastic bag (sandwich bag or small freezer bag size), cover that in a hanky and apply a cube to each eye socket through the hanky. Apply the pack to various parts of the eye socket and lower forehead and it calms the eyes down brilliantly. I keep a couple of plastic bags in my handbag now so that when my eyes start playing up I nip into the nearest restaurant (anywhere with ice), beg a couple of bits of ice and assemble my makeshift ice pack.
Fresh Barley Water
I heard somewhere that if you soak whole wheat and barley for 24 hours, then drink the water it has been soaked in, this can help your body become immune to colds and flu. I am doing this in the hope that it also helps with hay fever. It tastes fine with some honey mixed in.
Homeopathic Remedies
I have just started taking a homeopathic hay fever remedy as well, it is made by New Era and it is for hay fever and chronic rhinitis. They are pleasant to the taste, dissolve instantly on the tongue and get to work straight away. I am also taking echinacia tablets because I read somewhere that boosting the immune system could help with hay fever and at this stage I am willing to try just about anything.
ReflexologyAs a qualified reflexologist I have found that massaging the fingers (palm side) can help clear the mucus from the sinuses. In fact why not go the whole hog and have a full foot or hand reflexology session, it will make you feel a lot better.
Drink Water
One major thing to remember is drink plenty of water. At least two litres a day normally but if you are oozing mucus you will need more in order to replace the lost liquid.
So that's about it so far, as and when I hear about or try any other self help remedies I will let you all know. In the meantime lets all just pray for rain

                                 Helping Your Child Sleep

We can't get a good sleep until we are relaxed. A few things must happen before we get there. We need to feel secure and safe. Any kind of tension, such as abuse, parents arguing, financial problems, trouble with the neighbors, or problems with school or friends, will make it harder for any child to go to sleep.
We also need to feel secure and safe in the bed. Some children with sensory integration difficulties, such as problems with touch sensitivity, body position sense (proprioception), or gravitational insecurity may find lying down on a high bed difficult. Such children may be helped by having heavy blankets that help them to feel more grounded.
When we get into bed it's time to forget about the day's business, shut out environmental distractions, and slow our heart rate and metabolism. As our bodies start to drift, so do our brains. During the day, brain waves might run at 14 Hertz (cycles per second) or more. When they start to slow down, they first go into an "alpha" rhythm (about 10 Hz), and then gradually go into the deep sleep rhythm, called "delta", about 4-7 Hz.
Setting up the environment in the right way can go a long way toward helping us relax. So will keeping to a regular routine. The body gets used to it and knows when it's time to slow down and get ready to sleep. Here are a few ideas:
Soak in a warm tub and drink some warm milk. The bath relaxes our bodies, allowing the metabolism to slow down. It doesn't have to stay active and generate heat. Muscles relax when they are warm. The warm milk contains Tryptophan. This is an amino acid which acts as a natural sedative. Stay away from caffeinated drinks like Coke, tea or coffee. Don't engage in activities which will wind you up or frustrate you. Keep the kids away from the frustrations of homework or the activity of the Gameboy.
A nice bedtime story is very calming. It focuses away from daily anxieties and provides special child-parent time. Feeling loved and valued lets the child feel more safe and secure. If you wish, you might play a taped story after you read to him. Pick a soothing story and turn out the lights so he can listen with his eyes closed.
Soft, relaxing music is good. We can't close our ears against the noises from our environment. These can easily wake us up and heighten our stress. Especially disturbing are barking dogs, howling foxes or heavy lorries driving by. At least we can modify the sounds. Make the room as quiet as you can by using heavy curtains, double glazed windows, and close all the doors.
Secondly, we can introduce sounds that help to shut out the wrong noises, and that also help us to relax. White noise, such as that produced by a fan or a humidifier does help to drown out the lorries and the barking dogs. So does a radio playing quietly in the background. Unfortunately, these sounds in themselves tend to be arousing and stressful rather than relaxing. This is to do with two factors: pitch and beat. High frequencies sounds are energising, whilst low frequencies are relaxing. White noise is fairly high frequency, as is most music played on the radio - especially if played through a cheaper system with a poor bass response. Also, most popular music has a fast beat. Disco music is the most obvious example of this. No doubt at times you have found yourself tapping or nodding in time with the beat of some catchy music. This is called "entrainment", and describe the fact that our bodies like to align themselves with the rhythms around us. Our heart rates do the same - in general, as you listen to fast music or a fast beat (such as with rap music), your heart rate will speed up; when you listen to slow music, it slows down.
For sleep, we need to listen to low pitched sounds with a slow rhythm. We should try for a beat of 50 to 60 Hz, the rate or our resting hearts. Where do we find these sounds? Some classical music and some nature sounds qualify. I recommend recordings made specially for relaxation. Some of the best are made by Steven Halpern. The Sound Health Series CDs, called "Relax" and "De-Stress" are great. Play them quietly as background noise to drown out the dogs and to create a peaceful environment in the child's bedroom. If he wakes often during the night, consider playing continuous-play CD.
Our bodies are also greatly affected by light and colour. Supermarkets and football teams are well aware of this. The stores use blue/green tinted bulbs in their produce sections to make the vegetables appear greener and fresher. They use red tinged lights at the meat counters. They use these techniques subtly but effectively. They also are particular when designing product packaging, so that you will be stimulated to buy. They keep the lights bright and the "muzak" playing. They do this so you will feel happy and right at home, causing you to stay longer and spend more. Think about this in relation to some of the dingier shops, and you will understand their strategy. Sometimes football clubs will paint the home team changing rooms in red, to spur the players to action; and the visiting team's room blue, which is calming.
We've learned how sensitive we are to frequencies, rhythms and sounds. Our bodies also react to colour and light. Supermarkets use this to their advantage by lighting the vegetable sections with blue/ green tinged bulbs. The vegetables appear greener and fresher. Note the use of red tinted lights at the meat counter. It's a subtle but effective technique. Packaging is also carefully planned as to colour and design, with the motive of making it appealing enough to buy. The rest of the store is brightly lit and has music playing. Do you feel comfortable and happy? This is the goal, so if you feel these things they have been successful. The more time you spend in this environment, the more money you will spend. Think about some dark and dreary shops that you've seen. You didn't feel so enthusiastic did you? Using the same principles, football clubs paint the changing rooms in psychologically chosen colours. The home team changes in a red room to arouse them into action, while the away team has a blue room to relax and quiet them into lethargy.
Think about the colour spectrum. Blue is meant for us to feel serene, green harmonious and peaceful, while pink signals warmth and feeling cozy. These quiet colours are perfect for bedrooms. Be careful with the blues and greens however, as they can also feel cold. Using yellows, reds and other lively colours in a bedroom, isn't a good idea. Even though the effects are subtle, they may get our blood flowing and keep us from sleep. These effects are usually subconscious but that doesn't make them any less real.
Be sure to consider lighting when you design a bedroom. Bright, blue or cold lights tend to wake us up. An example of these are the fluorescents. That's because they imitate the early morning sun. At twilight the sky has the warm colours of orange and red. The most relaxing lights for nighttime come from low wattage bulbs, candles, oil lamps or a nice fire. If you add these lights to pink furniture, soft and slow music, the waves on the beach you get the picture.
How do we get around not putting a candle, oil light or open fire in a child's bedroom? One way is to use electric bulbs that flicker. There are also fiber optic lamps available that create a low level light, changing from one colour to another. The slow, gentle changes are relaxing, assuming that they aren't too bright. Some children like to sleep in a completely dark room. This is when the thick curtains will come in handy to screen out late night and early morning summer sun.
Since it's pretty unlikely that a parent would wish to put candles or oil lamps in a child's room, there are other options to consider. You can find fiber optic lamps that are very relaxing, even if they don't flicker as low as 7 Hz. They do, however, change colour slowly and the level of light is very low. The changing colours and soft light are so calming that they should be very helpful in getting your child off to sleep. Also available are lights that flicker so as to resemble a small flame. There are some children who prefer to sleep in a totally darkened room. If this is the case in your family, consider the heavy curtains that block twilight and early morning sun.
We often close our windows in winter and leave the heat on. This cuts down on outside noises, but also keeps out fresh air. The heat dries out the air as well, in turn drying out our nasal passages. When we have stuffy noses and air, we will usually sleep poorly. Even opening the window a crack will help.
Not having some fresh air to breathe at night can be interrupting to sleep. Think about opening a window, even if it's just a tiny bit. Too many people close all the windows and leave the heat running at night. Not only does it get close and too warm, lack of humidity dries out nasal passages. When we are uncomfortable, especially when it comes to breathing, we tend to sleep poorly and awaken often.
Waking during the night. It is normal to wake or almost wake several times during the night. The trick is to get back to sleep again. All of the above will increase the chances of this. Along with this it is important not to reinforce a behaviour pattern of waking up during the night by giving it a lot of attention. Infants and young children especially will often cry or make other noises when they wake. Do not immediately rush in to comfort them - this will only wake them up more, and reinforce the pattern of waking in the night. If you leave them alone, most will gradually settle and go back to sleep by themselves. Initially this may take some time, as they are used to getting your attention, but gradually, if you stay firm, this period of time will get shorter.
Of course these are a million other ways to help your child to sleep. Feel free to experiment to find what works for you.
But what about yourself? As a parent, how ofter to you wish you could just catch up on some sleep? How often do you feel worn out, tired and exhausted? Or wish you could just catch a few zzz's before the kids get home? Most likely, you are still believing in some 19th Century myths about sleep. Take a look at this website to discover some amazing facts about sleep that could seriously transform your life. May you have peaceful nights and pleasant dreams.

Over Coming Anxiety Naturally In Time for Valentine's Day

Over Coming Anxiety Naturally In Time for Valentine's Day

It is Valentine's Day and you feel relaxed and loving. As you move closer to your partner and touch her with love and desire, she stiffens up and moves away from you.

Quickly she gets involved in some activity. It could be attending to the new baby or cleaning up the dishes or looking out the window. Or  perhaps he starts talking about something else, anything to distract. You say to yourself,  "OK, it's not a good time" and accept it like a mature adult.

What if he or she continues to move away from you over and over again? Time to face the truth, your partner is rarely loving and relaxed.  A new father, recently wrote me about his wife's lack of interest in intimacy.  Unfortunately he is not alone. Many women and men suffer in silence with a partner who avoids time together.

So what is going on ?  The reason there is such a scarcity of good lovers in this world is due to a real problem, with a real solution. If your partner avoids loving, physical encounters, I would bet my 30 years of clinical experience, he is  too anxious to slow down and be with you. Anxiety is the major, bottom line, real problem.

There are 9.1 million Americans, 18 to 54, who suffer from anxiety disorders. This makes anxiety the most common mental health problem in the USA.  These numbers do not include the millions who have not been labeled with an official diagnosis. The millions who  have trouble sitting down and relaxing under a cherry tree all afternoon long in the sun.  The millions who cannot rest their body and mind so they can enjoy the moment, the day, the light, the energy of love.

Here are 8 Signs Which Indicate You have Anxiety
1--Breathing stops up high in your chest
2-Thoughts are obsessive, racing or telling you all the things you should do
3 -Physical body is too tight and tense or too fat and loose
4-Unable to sit still and be in the moment without activities such as reading, watching TV, talking
5-Not aware of your physical body
6- Not aware of the area around your body
7- Hyperventilating - gasping for air though your mouth
8- Startle response to any situation in your environment

When you let your anxiety take over and ruin your day, you are feeding fuel to all your other problems.  Your anxiety is sure to get worse with each passing day, resulting in serious mental health, emotional health and physical health problems. Nervous energy not only diminishes the quality of your life, but it causes many major physical diseases which cannot be easily corrected.

Legal or illegal  anti- anxiety drugs are dangerous and psychotherapy is extremely limited in its ability to relax the body and nervous system. You need effective, safe anxiety treatments which help you relax, love and get turned on.  There are real solutions available for overcoming anxiety naturally.

8 Ways to Overcome Your Anxiety Naturally
You can Learn to:

1-Consciously breathe fully into the bottom of your lungs
2-Calm your mind by taming your out of control thoughts
3-Pay attention to your emotional needs and meet them
4-Practice sitting still in silence without any activity such as reading, talking
5-Get and give physical touch to self and others
6-Look around you and pay attention to what is outside of you
7-Breathe through your nose and shut your mouth to stop hyperventilating
8-Reduce chronic anxiety with daily relaxation practices

Couples need to share time together relaxed, hanging out by the lake, doing nothing. Then loving touches, without expectations, can spontaneously manifest and bloom, making your Valentine Day a memory of Love instead of anxiety and avoidance.

Exercise therapy for depression

                             Exercise therapy for depression

Exercise therapy for depression
Exercise can improve your health. This is a well known fact. While enhancing physical health, it has become widely accepted exercise can improve mental health too. This article will help you understand why health professionals are increasingly including exercise in depression interventions. You will discover exercise improves symptoms and can help to prevent relapse, as effectively as traditional treatments for depression.

What is depression?
Sadness is one of our most commonly experienced emotions. It is only natural to feel sad in response to feeling alone, losing a friend or partner, or going through a difficult time. We can also feel sad without knowing why. While sadness is an emotion commonly experienced at times in our lives, depression involves more than feeling sad. Depression makes life harder.

Symptoms of depression1a, 1b include feeling ‘down’ (e.g., depressed mood), loss of appetite/weight, and changes to sleeping patterns (e.g., insomnia). There can be fatigue, lack of motivation, agitation, and it can be harder to concentrate. Pleasure is experienced less (e.g., anhedonia) and libido is reduced. Other symptoms include feelings of helplessness, hopelessness and worthlessness, and thoughts of self-harm / suicide. When depressed, we may experience some or many of these debilitating symptoms.

Exercise can help reduce depression
A growing body of research shows exercise is effective in treating depression. Exercise has been shown to improve overall mood as well as reduce symptoms and this is supported by research2, 3, 4, 5. Interestingly, research reviews6, 7, 8, 9 as well as meta-analyses10, 11 have also demonstrated this positive impact of exercise. It can reduce depression in different groups of people, such as women with post-partum12 depression (e.g., following pregnancy) and post-menopausal13, 14 depression. Symptoms can be reduced in people with obesity15, 16 issues. Exercise also reduces depression in the elderly17, 18, 19 as well as children and adolescents20, 21, 22.

Exercise is also known to improve symptoms associated with depression. For example, exercise can alleviate insomnia23, 24 (see also meta-anlyses25, 26) and improve appetite27, 28. Regular exercise has been associated with pleasure29, 30, 31, 32 and improving symptoms such as energy levels33, 34 and self-esteem35, 36, 37, 38. Exercise can also ease anxiety39, 40, 41, which often occur during depression. A sense of achievement can also be gained.

Exercise can help prevent relapse
Relapse is when depression re-occurs. Relapse prevention simply refers to preventing more episodes. It is essential to include relapse prevention when treating depression. Several studies have shown that exercise helps to reduce relapse19, 42, 43, 44. This means after overcoming depression, exercise can decrease the chances of becoming depressed again.

Exercise may also have a positive longer term impact on mental health. Longitudinal studies conclude there are reduced depression rates years after participating in exercise programs. Several studies found a positive long term impact on depressive symptoms22, 45. One research study even found that exercise reduces relapse more than an antidepressant medication18.

Exercise, medication and counselling
Blumenthal,Babyak and colleagues compared exercise with medication in their research18, 43, 46 into depression therapy. They found that exercise was as effective as antidepressant medication in treating symptoms43, 46, also found by other researchers47. Interestingly, exercise may be better than some antidepressants for reducing relapse18.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is considered the gold standard when it comes to depression interventions. Should you combine it with exercise? In an interesting study, researchers compared two groups being treated for depression. One group was only given CBT while a second group received both exercise and CBT. Combining CBT with exercise was found to reduce symptoms more than using CBT by itself48. Some studies have found exercise to be as good as counselling49, 50 and one research study even concluded exercise comparable to CBT51 in when treating depression.

Such research suggests exercise is as good as, if not better than some medications when treating depression, and that exercise can be as useful as some counselling therapies. On a deeper level; however, the recommendation is simply to include exercise in depression treatments. Exercise helps on a physiological as well as a psychological level, and without the costs of a therapist or the side-effects of a medication. And exercise can be fun.

Conclusion
This article has given you insight into how beneficial exercise is in alleviating symptoms of depression and reducing relapse. You learnt how exercise can be as effective as some psychiatric medications as well as some psychological interventions. All of this means exercise can help you whether you are depressed or not. The recommendation here is for you to start exercising right away because it is fun and may help keep the blues away.

so Who am I why should you listen to me about affiliate marketing and even more importantly why you should implement what I'm gonna teach you if you want to learn how to to make money with affiliate marketing for free so I introduce myself my name is&nbsp; I'm an online entrepreneur I've been working my business part-time for less than three years now online but I make a full-time income online doing it and to the tune of over the last thirty days making over sixty thousand dollars in affiliate marketing now I know that sounds crazy to some people and even to me just saying it still sounds crazy I feel absolutely blessed to be able to say that and I'm so glad that I pushed through you guys because like I said this channel is called freedom influencer and it's all about inspiring you guys to take action to create an income that can give you a life of freedom alright so that's a little bit about me let's go into this video one last thing before we do now obviously I'm gonna be going into detail about how you can do it for free right but if you're interested in creating an online business that can give you a full time income I'll leave a link in the description of my number one recommendation of exactly how I make money online and how you can as well so let's get into this video I'm excited I was actually gonna be on the computer and do a screencast and show you guys but for some reason my my recording is not working right now so I'm just going to simply explain it to you exactly how you can get started with affiliate marketing and I'm gonna give you a couple different options and it's 100% free to do it this way okay so first and foremost you need something to sell right you need a product or service but before we get into that I want to explain something to you that's very very important and that is to pick a niche all right and some people underestimate the power of picking a niche because they don't understand how powerful it is right and it's it's so important to pick something that you are interested in and that you can be passionate about because when it comes time to promote this product and create content around this this product you have to have a vision and understand that you're going to be creating content or creating ads whatever way to do it in this case it's going to be creating content because it's for free you're gonna be doing this for years to come so I want you to anticipate building a successful business online in a specific niche so if you understand the thought process behind this you're going to be creating a ton of content in this niche so it's very important to understand the the the process of choosing something you're passionate about and that's because I take this front take this from experience here you're gonna want to quit alright you will you're gonna want to quit and so if you pick something that your you're interested in you're gonna be able to push through those hurdles and when the doubts come up and when you think that you don't want to do this anymore if you're actually interested in the content you're producing then you'll be able to press on TV so that's the first thing is to pick a niche now let's talk about how you're gonna pick a product to start selling now understand that this video I'm sharing with you guys how to do it for free that means no money zero upfront cost for you guys to go out there start making money with affiliate marketing but also understand that this is not my number one recommended way to do it all right I do I recommend investing a little bit of money okay that's what entrepreneurs do to scale a business so again if that's something you're looking for and you don't mind investing into your business I'll leave that link down below for my number one recommendation but for this case it's gonna be free so the first thing we need to do is find a product so let's go to either Clickbank okay Clickbank comm or Amazon Associates both of these programs right Amazon the giant everyone knows Amazon you've probably bought something from Amazon I bought something from them yesterday I bought something on there today okay but they have something called Amazon Associates you can sign up 100 free okay and then you can start promoting products so you're simply going to pick a product that you want to promote okay off of amazon.com so that's the first place you can do it now the second place you can do it is Clickbank alright Clickbank comm is an affiliate network with a ton of different affiliate products that you can choose from and most of these products come in the form of digital they're a digital format I do believe they actually have some physical products but what you're gonna do is you're gonna go sign up at Clickbank calm 100% free again this cost you zero money to do this I mean you can tell you how to promote it okay and start making money go find a product that you are interested in that you want to start promoting now once you've done that you go to either one of these affiliate networks Amazon Associates or a Clickbank once you've done this and you pick a product now we have to promote it okay we have to be able to sell it and so the the best way to do this actually the only way I think if you're doing this for free is through content marketing so understand there's there's social media marketing and you even in social media it's content marketing but then there's also organic content marketing which is also can be social media now what do I mean by content marketing in a different sense so think of two types of platforms a platform where you have a feed where it's a social media network now this can be Facebook this can be Instagram this can be Twitter all of these types of platforms have a feed that disappears so your content will go out but it may not be seen for a year you know a year to come two years down the road once it goes out of people's newsfeed it's gone forever they're never gonna see it again that's one type of marketing that you can do which some super successful entrepreneurs can do that and they build up an audience so that way you can sell a product okay the second way and this is more long-term this is what I recommend and I'm going to share with you how to do in this video is through content marketing either through blogging or through like something like YouTube okay YouTube or even something like a question and answers website like Cora and what you're gonna do is you're going to create content around a specific niche which has to do with your product and you're gonna start creating content in that niche indirect people you're gonna get a link from either one of those websites Amazon Associates or a Clickbank they're gonna give you a link you're gonna go in there click promote you're gonna get a specific link you're gonna take that link and you can shorten it okay so you can go to bitly it's bi te ly bi te ly and you can take that link you're gonna plug it in there and you can shorten it this just means that it's gonna make it smaller so it's not big and ugly and nasty and now you have a link that you want to promote so I'm gonna share a way that you guys can start creating content and making money and promote those products okay so the way that you can do this 100% free and just so you guys know I do this myself right now okay is you can go to like I said you can do YouTube or you can do Korra which is question and answers website and then another way is blogging now just understand that these strategies that I'm sharing with you take some time but they give you a huge ROI on your time because when you post to these types of platforms YouTube Cora calm or a blog your content stays there and can get ranked in search engines and so when you do that now you can have people and drive targeted traffic to your website or to your product and sell it for years down the road by creating the content one time that's powerful and just understand though on these platforms it may take some time to build up your account so that way you drive more traffic okay on all of these account all these platforms it may take some time but it's worth it it's absolutely worth it and again we're talking about free it's absolutely free it cost you nothing to do this except for your time right so what you can do is let's just say for YouTube as an example and I actually do this you guys to this day and I was gonna do it for this very video but for some reason my screen recording software is not working right now okay what you're gonna want to do is you can go if you have a Google account sign up for Google if you don't it's absolutely free create a gmail account go to something called Google slides alright all you have to do is Google it Google slides this is basically a platform that's just like PowerPoint alright Microsoft PowerPoint and what you're gonna do is you create some slides create a PowerPoint where you can start talking about content related to the product ok content related to the product and all you're gonna do is you're gonna go through the slides and record your screen okay now you can use something 100% free called screencast-o-matic and I believe it's screencast-o-matic dot-com and that will record your your screen when you're in your browser okay and I think you can do it up to ten minutes absolutely free and you can record your screen now what you want to do is go through your slides and give valuable information in your slide in your niche around that product and at the end of your video give a call to action where they can go check it out by clicking the link in the description now again remember we got that bitly link that's promoting the product put that in the description of your YouTube video create a little description talking about what your video is about you get keywords in there and then create tags in your YouTube video you're basically telling YouTube what your video is about this is very important to do this because Google and YouTube need to know what your video is about alright 100% free you guys to do this that is I mean it costs you zero money to do this and you can start making money by doing this now again the other ways that I talked about you can use Cora calm Cora is a question and answers website let's just say for instance you had a product in the fitness industry so you went to Clickbank or you went to Amazon you grabbed a product that was in Fitness all you have to do is go to core comm and you can answer other people's questions that this product would solve the problem to write an answer put a link to the product and say somehow like I this can help you with with this problem that you're having another thing that you can do is if there is no question that is targeted for your product or service that you're trying to promote you can ask the question so let's just say that you're selling a body wrap that helps you burn calories while you're working out and that's the product that you're promoting there's just an example you guys you can go to Cora and say ask a question how do I lose weight faster around my waist and then you can answer your own question and give a description of how you can do this using a waistband right and you grab the link you're promoting this and you can say you can go check them out on Amazon for the best price here and leave that link people click that link if they buy it now you just made a commission so Cora is another great place to drive traffic targeted traffic to your products now the next way is through blogging a lot of people don't like blogging because it will take time to build up your blog enough for Google to recognize it as an authority blog and start ranking your blog posts but what I'm telling you about blogging is that it's almost like building a YouTube channel in that if you stay with it Google will recognize it and start giving you more traffic so if you write a blog post and you start writing blog posts after blog posts in there they're good blog posts you can drive traffic by in it inside your blog post putting links to products ok and if you do this over time and you stick with it for months down the road maybe even a year or two you guys can build a full-time income doing this with affiliate marketing it's absolutely amazing what some people are doing in the income that they're creating but remember this is all for free so it will take time it will take energy but you know I'm sharing with you 100% all that is completely free it costs you nothing but your time to do that alright so I'd love to hear from you guys what do you think about this way of making money with affiliate marketing if you have done this or if you've tried it drop a comment below also if this is something that you're gonna try let us know down below that you're gonna go ahead and try it out give it a shot and stick with it you guys because you can start making money 100% free it cost you nothing and then again if you guys are interested in my number one recommendation I'll leave a link down below it's exactly how I made over sixty thousand dollars in the last 30 days and I still can't believe that I'm saying that you know I feel blessed but it is absolutely true you guys can do the same thing so if you're interested in creating a full time income online I'll leave that link in th</span>e description below</div>

How To Make Money With Affiliate Marketing [With No Money Or Website]

How To Make Money With Affiliate Marketing [With No Money Or Website]

hey what's up life masters this is  from project life mastery in side this video I'm gonna share with you how you can get started to make money with affiliate marketing from scratch with no money whatsoever and no website so if right now you don't have any money to start a business with and you're looking for ways to make money online affiliate marketing is one of the best strategies out there for that I'm gonna share with you a very simple strategy on how to do it now of course if you do have money great that could be a great advantage for you to start your business the right way you can often move faster you can get tools and things that can help you accelerate your growth and your business to make money from it but let's assume that you have no money whatsoever this is something that I would do if I was starting all over again and I wanted to make money online affiliate marketing is a great strategy for it now if you don't know what affiliate marketing is I should mention real quick what it is affiliate marketing is the process of you earning a commission by promoting someone else's product or service so there's millions of products and services out there that are for sale online as you know of course but most of them have what is known as an affiliate program which means that you can join it for free you can promote their product and generate sales for them and they'll give you a commission for every sale that you generate so depending on the product there's a different commission structure so for example let's say it's a digital product like an online course or training program a lot of cases they'll give you a 40 or 50 percent commission on that so if someone's selling a product let's say for five hundred dollars you can earn a $250 commission for every sale that you generate for them okay if it's a physical product most often there's more expenses involved in overhead and there's less of a margin so you don't get as high of a commission on a physical product it might be ten percent or five percent and I've got videos goes more into physical versus digital products but there's less Commission that you can make with it it really depends on the company and the affiliate program how they set it up and what Commission they want to give for it so think about most products that you've already bought that you already own from home and a lot of them you could be an affiliate for them and you could promote them so for example this camera that I'm filming this on right now this is a Panasonic gh4 well I could promote this press camera and earn a commission from every sale because there's certain websites that have affiliate programs including Amazon Amazon has one called Amazon Associates where you could promote products earn a commission from it and there's many different marketplaces and places where you can find products to promote I mean digital products there's Clickbank comm there's jvzoo.com and there's many others out there and there's always private affiliate programs too so with that being said let me just kind of share with you the method and the strategy and if you want to learn more about affiliate marketing I'll invite you to an upcoming masterclass that I'm doing which is free the link is below or go to affiliate marketing mastery com so I'm gonna share a little bit with you here inside this video to give you the overall structure and the mindset and the approach to this so to do affiliate marketing successfully you need to find a product right a product that you can promote as an affiliate and it's a product that is commissionable so meaning that they have an affiliate program the company has an affiliate product program for this product now the simplest way that I like to start with this is just looking around my environment at the products that I use and benefit from and the ones that I use and benefit from to see if they actually have affiliate programs so let me give an example many years ago I bought a Vitamix blender now if you don't know what that is it's one of the best blenders out there in the world they sell them at Costco all the time it's one of those high-end blenders that can do a lot for you you know you can make incredible smoothies and soups and hummus and guacamole and all these cool things from it and it's a pretty expensive blender it's a $500 blender and when I bought it I saw that they had an affiliate program which means that they would pay me a commission for every sale that I'd generate I think goes around $75 and I thought wow that's so cool here's a product that I benefit from every day of my life you know I make my healthy smoothies every day and I can promote this product and essentially share it with other people that can potentially benefit from it if they decide to buy it through what is known as an affiliate link then I earn a commission from it so I'd go to Vitamix website to sign up for their program that give me a link that I can use that will automatically track that if someone clicks on that link and they buy the product I earn a commission it automatically tracks it within 30 days so even if they didn't buy it today and they clicked on the link and they go back to the website 25 days from now and they buy I earn a commission from that how cool is that so I looked at products around me I looked at the Vitamix blender I looked at my Fitbit that I used to always wear you know to track my activity throughout the day now I use the aura ring which I don't have it on me right now but I've you know things like that that I've used or certain books that I've read that really benefitted me that I saw I can be an affiliate and promote those products and what I would do is essentially made a list of all the products and I use and benefit from in my life that I feel confident and comfortable to share with others sometimes it was courses and training programs that I invested in myself so for example there's a great one called a hundred a challenge by Gary Ryan Blair is a hundred fifty dollar course I went through it online changed my life and I thought yeah I want to promote and share this and they had an affiliate program for it so I would I would Google these products all these things that I went through and find the affiliate programs for it even Tony Robbins you know I went to his unleash the power within seminar and I found out they got an affiliate program so if I'm going to share it with other people something that's benefited my life might as well maybe earn a commission from it as well so I made a list of all those products and that's something I challenge you to do look at the products you use that you've benefited from in your life it can be physical products or digital products or courses or services or anything like that and make a list and then go to Google and search to see if they have an affiliate program sometimes it's just searching the product name and then affiliate program so Vitamix blender affiliate program 100 day challenge affiliate program and if they have it on their website great you can join it you can promote that product if not then you can go to Amazon Associates and sign up there they've got an affiliate program and there's also different affiliate marketplaces too so finding a product now I also believe obviously by sharing this I believe that if you have a direct experience with the product you've benefited from the product then that's a huge advantage because I you can't really sell something that you don't have belief behind maybe you can but you can't do it that effectively you know for me I built my business project life mastery I do affiliate marketing is one of my ways of making money and you know the way that kind of comes about and my mindset around that is that if I benefit from anything and it enhances my life then I want to share that with you if it helped me or helped others then I know it can help you as well maybe not for everyone but the majority people yes I believe it can and so I'm always growing and learning and improving my life and I'm coming across great things I feel it's selfish not to share that I don't have a scarcity mentality where I believe Wow I discovered this I'm gonna keep it to myself so no one else knows about this secret that I discovered for improving my health or my energy and my finances or my business no I like to pay it forward I like to have an abundance mentality and give and support and help other people and I believe by doing that there's more that comes back to you and you get rewarded for it so that's the mindset that I have and so I'm always coming across great things and I share it I share with other people and some of them I'm gonna affiliate for some of them I'm not right but my number one goal first and foremost is to help other people and serve them and then secondary or third would be actually making a profit from it too so that's the mindset so something that you benefited from even more powerful even better okay and I believe you know as as human beings you know hopefully you're someone that's into self-development and investing and improving yourself to become better but you know obviously you can still promote things that you've never used before I've done that in a few cases to where for example someone comes to me and I can share with them something that could help them and I'll be transparent and honest and say listen I've never been through this but I think it can help you for example I remember there's a program on how to stop smoking I've never dealt with smoking or things like that my personal life but I was able to share hey you know what here's a program that can help you with how to overcome smoking and I know some people who have been through it looks like a great program I think it can help you and I can share and promote things as long as I'm still honest and transparent about that so there's another way you can do it if you haven't been through something yourself okay now you found the product okay you've joined their affiliate program and affiliate programs for the most part are free some some affiliate programs I'll mention they require you to have be a customer of the product before you promote it that's a case some of the time too but a lot of them are free that you can join okay if not go to your some market places real quick for you just to help you out here Clickbank comm it's great for digital products although they do have physical products - JV zoo JV stands for of course joint venture lots of digital products they're typically of course there's amazon associates and then you know even eBay has an affiliate program a lot of a lot of different web sites out there that you can find okay okay so you have a product that you can now promote now the next piece are really what you need is you need traffic ok traffic or an audience or a list that you can promote this product to right you need attention I've always shared that the most valuable things you can have online in a business by far number one is attention other people's attention their eyeballs on you just like how hopefully I have your attention right now if you're watching this video as well as their trust okay trust because you know if you and I are friends okay and we have trust as a friendship ship it should have and you have a challenge you have a problem in your life you know maybe for you it's it's procrastination right you struggle with procrastination you're you're not achieving your goals and if that's your problem your challenge then for me as a friend I can share with you something that's benefited me to help me overcome that you could benefit from so I might say hey listen man I've been where you've been before here's a great program that I went through here's a resource it's called a hundred eight challenge and it helped me and I think it can help you as well and I don't know if it will or not but check it out and you give that person the link now if there's trust in a relationship there you're gonna say oh well thank you so much Stefan you know I trust you I see how you've made that change in your life right that you struggle with this and you overcame it or I trust the recommendation that you have and so because there's trust that's been established you're likely to check out the program that I shared with you right now let's say for example I share with you something that sucks and it's a piece of garbage you know I'm someone else just trying to make money right there's people out there obviously like that and you trust me and you invest in this recommendation that I had and it's horrible guess what's gonna happen to our trust guess what's gonna happen to our relationship you're gonna get upset with me you're gonna say Stefan why did I trust you this is horrible you led me in the wrong direction this didn't help me at all in which case we're gonna lose that long-term relationship and Trust it's gonna hurt us long-term but on the other hand if I share see something great and you trust me and it benefits your life you get benefits you get results from it it improves your quality of life our trust increases our relationship gets stronger because they're gonna say wow thank you so much stuff and I really appreciate it you know my life is better off for this is there anything else that you can recommend to me or something else out there that can help me even further right and it'll be more beneficial long-term in our relationship so Trust is incredibly powerful but you need attention first right and attention is your ability to attract people to you to have a list an audience or traffic now how can you build that well I'd venture to say that you actually already have a list your list right now your audience the people that you have attention for right now in your life or who your friends or family people that might know on Facebook or on Twitter on Instagram people that are already following you in your life and people that trust you respect you maybe even look up to you and I believe you know if you're a great friends to your friends and family you're looking to help and support them in whatever way that you can maybe again it's something help that's helped you that you want to share with them and so the simplest way that I've seen a lot of people make money with affiliate marketing would just be sharing with the existing list they have a product that's benefited them so let me give you an example I am I recently went through a propyl is actually a number of courses and programs I've been through throughout my life that's shaped my life and helped me become Who I am one of them is the amazing selling machine and that was a program that teaches people how to get started selling on Amazon and I'm gonna affiliate for it's changed my life as well as Tatiana's and I wanted to share it with other people and especially when you're getting results in your life you want to help other people with that or people come to you and they say Stefan can you help me so amazing selling machine I shared that with my family with my friends I've had many friends that have bought it and joined through me I've got my brother that joined me as a selling machine through me I've got my cousins and my ex-girlfriends family and parents that join it ASN through me as well and I could share that because I believe in it and it could benefit other people and those are people that were just in my life like friends and family you know and you know even recently with the you know other products and things that I've used I share it with people on Facebook or even in person you know not doing it should make money from them I actually believe and I often tell my friends this too is like you know I can just give this to you or share it with you but when you actually pay for it you're gonna value it and you're gonna do it right and that's ultimately what I want and what I care about is actually them doing it and getting results from it so so I share with people in my life I'm not afraid to do that so that's one way okay but let's say you don't want to tap into your friends and family and that's fine too how else can you get traffic how can get it for free well there's platforms and websites that exist that are 100% free that you can attract people on what are they your on one right now right there's YouTube there's Facebook there's you know iTunes where you can create a podcast or like google play there's a Instagram there's Twitter right there's snapchat there's other websites out there like that now aren't we lucky that these websites are free you don't have to pay money to use them I mean how cool is that you know when I started my journey online I didn't have access to you know the Facebook and the YouTube and things like that back when I started and those are huge advantages because there is hundreds of million if not billions of people that are using these platforms everyday that you can leverage to reach and build an audience and attract to you and then promote and share products that can benefit them as an affiliate so for example YouTube you know what I'm doing right now my youtube channel does not cost any money I mean all you really need is a camera which most people already have that can be on your computer a webcam it could be on your phone some videos I just take out my phone my phone and as recording myself like this and I talk now I do have a camera a DSLR camera which you can buy but most people that don't even need to invest money on a camera it's just whatever they have right now is more than enough that they can record with now if you just take out your camera and you create content and you share and it's valuable and people find it guess what you're building an audience that you could then promote and share a product to now one of the simplest ways to do affiliate marketing is once you've found a product that you like that can benefit people then you do a review and you share your experience of that product online so let for example let's say a Vitamix blender you could do a video if you share in the benefits of a Vitamix blender you can share a tutorial of the Vitamix blender you could review the blender and share the pros and cons you can compare the blender to other blenders and guess what there's people that are searching that online that if you create content like that they can find your content and then you promote and share the Vitamix blender inside that video right or it could be you know even for a course let's say there's a course that you went through you share your experience you review the course you share the pros and the cons how it's helped you your own case study your own testimonial for it and people will find it because every product out there especially if it's a high demand product there's people that are searching for it online they're logical buyers that want to know more information before they decide to buy it they're on the fence and you know by you sharing your honest experience online they can find your review they can find your video and they can end up consuming it and then end up clicking onto your affiliate link to buy it in which case you earn a commission from it so YouTube is great for that Facebook as well you could build a Facebook page create content and share on Facebook you could create your own Facebook group community around a certain topic or niche and attract people into that you could create content on Instagram take pictures and videos and put that up on Instagram use hashtags to reach and attract people and bring them to you and then promote and share a product with them right you could do it all the different platforms I mean even if you don't have a blog you could set up an account at medium calm right and there's other platforms like that where it could be your online blog that's free and you create articles and blog posts reviewing products and sharing their experience with it and learning some search engine optimization maybe to rank it and optimize that for certain keyword phrases and you attract people then you promote and share something that can benefit them so it's a pretty simple process right it comes down to just creating content around a specific product that people are searching for that has an affiliate program that you can join and earn a commission from and the more people that you reach the more traffic that you get guess what the more that you come or that you sell the more money that you make that's the process of that for the it marketing now that's the most basic way of looking at it if you want to scale it there's many ways you can do that you can build a brand you can build a website you can invest money into marketing create funnels you can create an email list you can create a messenger BOTS sequence and you know a facebook Messenger list and things look like that there's so many strategies and tactics and techniques and things that you can learn you can learn Facebook ads and spend money on advertising to build your list in your audience so there's a lot that you can do there's a lot of things that I've learned that helped me be successful at affiliate marketing so this is the most basic way of how you'd get started is just start putting out content it does not cost you any money to do it just some of your time be consistent with it might take you a while at the beginning sometimes you know this products I've promoted right away and earn commissions from you know you'd be surprised but if you do it that way but just be consistent with it and everyone it's different everyone has a different process for it but the most important thing is to learn the experiences that you get experience is always the best teacher so just start start creating content start learning this and doing some of it you'll learn from that and you'll start to learn things that work and don't work and go more in that direction of what does work but listen if you want to learn more from me I'm happy to share with you I've created a free masterclass that goes to the marketing if you go to affiliate marketing mastery comm or click the link below in the description I want to invite you to free masterclass where I'll go more into affiliate marketing I'll share experiences from my business and some of my results and Sharaf you some actual examples of affiliate marketing and how I do it and that can help you immensely need to be able to get started in your own journey to affiliate marketing so a filled marketing is great because you don't need to invest the money to you know do marketing and create the product and the service and all that you're just partnering with other people and earning commissions so that's why it's one of the best and the easiest

How to Make Money $ on the Internet: A Guide to Becoming a Digital Nomad

How to Make Money $ on the Internet: A Guide to Becoming a Digital Nomad

Hey, what's up? In thisI'm gonna talk about how to make a living on the Internet. This is a topic that I get asked about all the time and while I'm not an expert, I do make a full-time living at this point using the Internet, and so at the very least I feel like I could talk about my own experiences. My idea here is to provide a fairly thorough beginner's guide on the different ways you could potentially make a living online. This is in no way exhaustive and that's because this is a massive topic and the internet continues to grow and evolve everyday. Making a living online has some major benefits including, especially for me, the fact that I'm now location independent, which theoretically means I could travel or live wherever I want in the world. This has massive appeal for me personally, but it obviously depends on how much money you make. Also, depending on what path you take it can mean you don't have to answer to anybody and you can do your own thing.

Plus I think that the internet is where everything is gonna happen in the future, so might as well get as savvy as possible, right? I knew the internet was going to play a big role in my career, but it's been kind of a bumpy process figuring things out for myself. I would have really appreciated somebody sitting down with me, and just explaining things in a clean and concise way. I split things into three categories, so it's a little bit easier to understand. And, I'm an open book, so I'm going to be sharing exactly how much money I'm making on AdSense on YouTube as a little bit of an update from aI made a few months ago. I'm going to cover a ton of information in this video, but it is impossible to cover it all. If I tried I'd be here all day. In the description you will find links to additional resources, and the things that I mentioned in this video, and any further additions that I might come up with down the road if I missed anything. Some things to keep in mind, while more and more people are making either a full or part-time income on the internet, it's still not a super typical path to take, and it's definitely still less straightforward than applying to a job and working in an office somewhere.

It can be very stressful and also unclear how to navigate things. Plus, the internet is littered with all kinds of fake or clickbaity content that promises outlandish amounts of money for little to no effort. All I'm saying is don't believe everything you see, that has just not been my experience. You have to keep in mind that the Internet does not work in a linear or straightforward way. I've spoken about this before, things might not work out for a long time and then they might explode to life. I mean, that's exactly what happened with my channel on YouTube. I truly believe that if you focus on creating something that is super high quality, you know, being so good that people can not ignore you, the people will eventually come. The takeaway here is that I think it's essential to adopt a long term mindset to weather the volatility of things. This kind of mindset probably needs to be reflected with money management as well. I can only speak about my own personal approach, but I believe that having an emergency fund of savings is borderline a must. You cannot expect things to work out right away. This isn't just to give yourself a runway to try and make things happen, but it's also for stress management. I can't emphasize this enough, things can be very unpredictable.

Now, regarding mentality I do think that you need some level of hustle to make things work out for yourself. If you want it, you have got to fight for it. The Internet is funny in how it works because you can actually be competing with people all around the world, and you know, that can be a challenge. Picking a particular focus or niche and getting really good at it is key. In fact, even better than that would be if you could create your own niche, and also patience. Everybody's journey on the internet looks a little bit different, so don't get caught up on other people's success stories. Just like with anything else I believe that what you get out of something depends on how much you put into it. Anything you can do to go above and beyond will help, and finally do not underestimate the power of word-of-mouth, even in the age of the internet. Okay So let's dive into the different methods of making money online. One, selling products. To start you can sell products online. You probably already know this already and thanks to globalization there's a global market for most things now. We're gonna break this first category into two parts. The first is creating and selling and the second is buying and reselling. As an artist myself I think the first option is considerably better. Creating and selling something online is pretty straightforward. You can make jewelry,

design t-shirts, you know, write your own poetry. It can be anything. You can very easily create an online store on a website like Etsy, Shopify or Squarespace. There's loads of tutorials out there already. So I'm not gonna go into that. Of course this requires a skill in some kind of craft, and you're gonna notice this as a pattern with regards to all the different ways to make money online. It's just better if you have something of value to offer the world. The good news is that it's never been easier to learn a craft online. Get creative. If you're a photographer, sell your presets or a zine. If you have pretty handwriting, sell posters or postcards. Reaching people seems to be one of the hardest parts of this whole process. Since social media is saturated at this point, it can be a real challenge, but it's definitely not impossible. The way I see things you have two choices, you can either figure out a way to organically get discovered, or you can pay for marketing on social media platforms.

I personally could never crack the code on Instagram so I've never received any organic growth on there, but I've had considerably more luck on YouTube, and so that's where I place most of my focus now. My approach has always been to experiment. I don't have all the answers, unfortunately. I'm just a kid on the internet. I will say Seth Godin recently wrote a book called "This is Marketing", which is fabulous. It helped me develop my own mindset with regards to all of this. I recommend it. Next, if you don't have a skill, the desire, or a desire to learn a skill, but you do enjoy selling, you can buy and resell. This is also known as arbitrage. I'm only going to briefly cover this one because I personally would never do this. I'm just not built for this kind of thing. The concept is incredibly simple, you know you buy something somewhere and then you sell it somewhere else for more. In theory, you could do this from the comfort of your home buying stuff from Alibaba or Aliexpress and then selling it on Amazon, for example. Amazon has a program for this, it's called Amazon FBA. However, I did do a lot of research on this and it quickly became apparent to me that this has become very competitive and it can require a significant personal investment.

Furthermore, there are a lot of ways that this could go wrong. More fundamentally, however, and again, this is just my own personal opinion, but I find that this kind of work is very uncreative. You could make the argument that you are not really adding any real value to the world. You're just making yourself a middleman, which can ultimately be unfulfilling. Conversely, you could say that middlemen play an important role in distribution. All that being said, some people seem to be made for this, enjoy the process and do successfully make a living this way. So, more power to them. And again, the sky is the limit here. You can do this with art. You can do this with shoes. You could do this with hypebeast clothing. Two. Freelancing online. Next we're gonna talk about freelance work online, which in my experience can be very powerful. But again, there's a lot to keep in mind. As far as I see things, there are four ways that you could go about this.

One, you can provide a service on a website. This is arguably the most straightforward method. Once again, you do need a skill, but don't let that scare you. I mean if you speak English, if you understand this video, that's a skill right there. You can do this very easily on websites like Italkie or Verbally. When I took the leap moving to Mexico earlier this year, I gave myself 6 months of runway to try and make things work, but at that time I was definitely not making enough money to sustain this project. As a plan B, I was prepared to teach English, French, or Spanish online in case things didn't work out. Just to keep things going. Outside of languages though, you can offer pretty much any service imaginable on websites like Fiverr. Benefits include the fact that you can pick your own hours and potentially meet people around the world. Drawbacks could be the fact that you're not passionate about this, and therefore It's kind of more of a temporary solution. The more advanced version of this is that if you have any kind of following on any kind of social media, you could leverage it. For example,

if you're a musician and you post your work online, people might reach out to you and commission you for work. If you're a designer or a cartoonist, same sort of thing. I mean this this kind of thing happens surprisingly often, given that you're accessing enough eyeballs. Two. Finding freelance work on a freelance website. This next method is different from the previous one in that these websites have employers post tasks that they need somebody to do, and potential freelancers submit themselves for the opportunity to do that work. There are plenty of websites out there that do this kind of thing including Upwork, Freelancer, and Guru. I can't recommend any of these because I never ended up using any of them, but I did do some research on this and finding freelance work this way can be problematic. Mainly because there are challenges connecting the right freelancer with the right job. Plus, there's a lot of competition so it can be kind of demoralizing to be in this kind of environment. I'm not saying it's not possible, there are people out there that make a living this way, but I am suggesting caution, since there are forums that have shared very mixed reviews about taking this route. Next, you can submit your resume directly to companies with job openings. This is very similar to kind of the traditional way of doing things, except for you're obviously looking for location independent jobs. I see this as a particularly viable option for writers, with companies like Huffington Post or Vice. I remember applying for a job to write descriptions for a company that managed vacation homes. I didn't get it.

This one's tough because it can feel like you're shooting your resume into the void. Again, patience and persistence and also potentially creativity and grabbing somebody's attention is the way to go. I recommend "Indeed" as a solid resource that goes way beyond just writing positions to all kinds of different jobs, many of which are freelance positions online. Finally, you can build physical relationships that end up becoming location independent. This is the most advanced with regards to the different methods that are covered on the topic of freelancing online, but I also believe that it's the best. I think doing things this way has the potential to offer the biggest rewards. I worked as an editor while I was living in Portland, mainly on documentary and commercial stuff. I made sure to make myself as valuable as I could by, you know, doing my best work, being timely and communicative. Employers really value that kind of thing because you would be shocked how flaky people can be. If you are valuable enough people will hire you no matter where you are. And now with improving internet

, the cloud, and bettercalling services, a lot of the barriers that used to exist with regards to doing work remotely are gone. So, I've had clients send me hard drives and you know, I do my thing. I edit from wherever it is that I am and submit my work that way. I no longer do this because I'm no longer taking on client work, but that is something that I did for a while. Three. Create content online. Believe it or not, you can definitely still make a living creating content online in 2019. This is what I'm doing. This can come in the form of running a website or blog, a podcast, or something like a YouTube channel. People seem to make a lot of money also on Instagram, but I do not, so I'm not going to talk about it. Obviously there's going to be differences that exist between these different methods, but there are general categories that apply to all of them. One: ads. I make ad revenue. Thanks to you guys showing up and watching my videos here on YouTube. In March I made $488.32 with ad revenue. In June I made $3466.01 on ad revenue. For the record it's the same exact concept with a blog or website where there are ads on the web page.

So what does this illustrate? It shows that ad revenue is super volatile and very unreliable. It really comes and goes. This is why I think it's so important to diversify and figure out other ways to make money, because if you relied just on something like that, it could be very stressful and it can be very challenging to make things sustainable long term. Two. You can also sell merch. Every Youtuber and their mother has tried this, and there's a reason for that it's because it usually works. There are now companies like Printful, that allow you to do things on a per-order basis, which means that you don't have to put in any of your own peronal investment. It can avoid a lot of the risk of doing this. Next you have crowdfunding. That's exactly what Patreon is. Something that I've promoted extensively on this channel. I truly believe that it's something that's gonna play a big role in the future.

You can create exclusive content, behind-the-scenes, other bonuses that you can offer to people that really believe in you, and they can access those things while also supporting you online. I'm extremely fortunate to now have 165 patrons on my Patreon page. That translates to around $850 per month and that is super cool, it's also way more consistent than ad revenue. There's affiliate marketing, which you can do with Amazon or any of a whole host of other companies. Let's say you recommend a book that you really like, you can link to it, and if somebody buys that book you get a commission. You can also offer a course. You know, do a workshop. Especially if you're like an expert on something. People love that kind of thing and I've heard mixed reviews. It sounds like there are amazing courses out there and there's also low quality courses. So it obviously all depends. And finally there are sponsors and the equation here is very simple. If you have an audience of people that enjoy and believe

in what you're doing, and they reliably show up on a regular basis, that's a very valuable thing. Now, you walk kind of a fine line here, because if you have too many sponsors, if everything I put out was sponsored, I would look like a sell-out. Now, theoretically I would make a lot more money if every single one of my videos was sponsored, but you have to balance trust that you have with your audience with income. I get requests to do product reviews, to promote apps, you know, all kinds of different stuff. I say no to like 99.9% of it. Currently I'm sticking to doing no more than one or two sponsors per month. Only promoting products that I personally use. This is allowing me to be a little bit more ambitious with my projects and to further raise my production quality. So thisis sponsored by Skillshare, which is an honest recommendation because I did use it to get to where I am now. I think that the concept of learning something online has enormous potential. I mean almost everything I know is thanks to the internet. Now, Skillshare offers over 28,000 courses on their platform. They have a pretty cool rating system to see what people think of different classes, so that you can kind of find what fits for you. Well, what I've gone ahead and done is I've created my own list of personal recommendations of classes that I like, and a lot of these have to do with the things that I talked about in this video. I particularly enjoy Skillshare originals. They're really well made. Two classes I would personally recommend are this productivity master class and this course on starting a business online, both of which I think can be super useful if you're interested in making a living using the internet. Skillshare is very affordable.

For a yearly subscription it's less than ten bucks a month. This is really important and I totally forgot to mention it, you can use the link down below to get a two month free trial. So, give it a shot and you know try for yourself. To close off this topic of making living through content creation online, I suggest keeping in mind these three things. These three things, by the way make up my mantra with regards to content creation. They are quality, focus, and consistency. Of course, I did not cover everything. There are so many ways that you can make money online, especially if you're creative. I didn't mention Medium, which is an option for bloggers. I didn't talk about day trading, which seems to have a very large community at this point. You can create an app or upload stock footage to a stock website. Here's what I will say, if there's a demand for something in the world and you can find a way to offer that in a high-quality way, you can make a living.
